Fishing Line Recycling Project meeting

July 10, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

The next full team meeting for the Fishing Line recycling project will be on Wednesday July 10, 2019 10:30 – 12:30pm at Carbide Park.

A lot has happened since our last meeting and each team will update the full group regarding all our activities.  The agenda will be sent out with a meeting reminder shortly before the meeting.

Special thanks go out to all of our hardworking monitors who are diligently collecting line from their tubes and those who helped clean that line.  Our latest cleanup started with about 45 pounds of fishing line and debris.  A large portion of this line came from cleanups on the Texas City dike.  After separating the debris, we were able to send 20 lbs 15 ozs of cleaned line to Berkley for recycling.  Way to go, team!!

Just one example of recent activities.  We hope to see you all on July 10 when we share all the exciting news.
