Fishing Line project – An Adventure!

September 8, 2019 by gbmn

Since our Chapter adopted the fishing line project, team members have been busy.  They located and documented 90 monofilament bins.  They created a project team with sub teams, a mission, goals, a Facebook page and a logo.  A process has been set up to monitor, repair, and add new bins. New signage in 4 languages was created and installed on the bins. A new grate structure was developed and installed on the bins to keep out large trash.  Outreach is underway to educate the community. And so much more.  The Daily News COAST Monthly magazine featured and article about the work in their July issue. Follow our project on our Facebook page Fishing Line – Recycle Yours in Galveston County.
