Tom Solomon was recently recognized by the Texas Master Naturalists (TMN) organization for completing 30,000 hours of volunteer service (equals over 14 years of full-time employment). Tom is a member of the Galveston Bay Area chapter – TMN, which provides educational, outreach and conservation services designed to improve the management of the area’s natural resources. Tom has spent the past 18 years as a certified master naturalist supporting the restoration of local prairies. His hard work of collecting, germinating, and planting seeds to support one of the rarest and most endangered ecosystems in the world is a gift for current and future generations. Tom is genuine example of a Galveston Bay area nature guardian.
