THIS PRESENTATION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT TEXAS MASTER NATURALISTS, HILL COUNTRY CHAPTER
Event Summary: For the past 6 years, HCAA has been immersed in ongoing excavations and research at CWR Archeological Site near Hunt, Texas, in western Kerr County. We want to showcase our work and the beautiful site setting with a fun day of learning for Texas Master Naturalists, Hill Country Chapter.
The day will include:
A walking tour of the CWR site on the banks of the Upper Guadalupe River
Educational presentations on Hill Country archeology and the significance of HCAA discoveries at CWR, spanning over 10,000 years!
Displays and demonstrations of ancient lifeways — atl-atl, flintknapping, projectile point identification, Earth Oven cooking
Q&A with HCAA researchers who have dedicated more than six years to bring these discoveries to our HCAA members and to the public
Water and light snacks will be provided. Bring a sack lunch, you will be working through

Note that CWR is on private property and attendees will be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
Cost: Free, but HCAA is a non-profit organization. A donation of $10 will be appreciated. but registration is required.
