Event Summary:
In an age of distractions and disconnection, cemeteries create a sense of place where visitors can reconnect with nature. For bird watchers, cemeteries offer easy walking, open spaces to listen to the quiet conversations of nature.
Event Description:
Friends of Fredericksburg Nature Center invites you to join us for our March workshop where we will learn about unusual places for avid birders to explore. The presentation will be followed by a birding field trip. While the presentation is open to the public, the field trip will be limited to the first 30 registrants only, so RSVP early!
Jennifer Bristol is the former director of the Texas Children in Nature Program, the 2018-2019 recipient of the Most Valuable Birder in the Great Texas Birding Classic, and she guides bird walks for Travis Audubon. She is the author of Cemetery Birding and Parking Lot Birding, which will be available for purchase at the workshop.
