Event Summary:  Did you know Texas has a State Mushroom – The Hissing Texas Star Mushroom!.  Learn about mushrooms ecological importance in Texas ecosystems.

Event Description:  Hear about the fascinating world of fungi including our official state mushroom, the hissing Texas Star Mushroom, This rare and unique species, found only in Texas and Japan, is renowned for its distinctive star-shaped appearance and mysterious life cycle. Learn about community programs that are changing the conversation around fungi and its ecological importance in Texas ecosystems.

The Speaker will be bringing mushroom grow blocks to upcycle for everyone in attendance. Learn how to use them here.
