Applications open on Monday, November 3, 2025
A twelve-week course is scheduled for Spring 2026

  • Meetings will be scheduled throughout the Kerrville, Boerne, and Fredericksburg areas.
  • Most Thursday evenings from 5:30 – 8:30p requiring in person or Zoom attendance.
  • Most Saturdays from 9:00a – 3:00p and are in person only.
  • The cost of the training is $200 which includes the textbook.
  • Because we interact with the public in our volunteer work, everyone must complete a background check.

To complete the training and become a certified Master Naturalist you must

  • Complete the course
  • Volunteer at least 40 hours at approved projects within 1 year
  • Attend 8 hours of advanced training within 1 year.

The complete schedule is posted here: https://txmn.org/hillcountry/files/2025/10/ScheduleForWebsite.pdf

If you have previously expressed interest in the course, you should be receiving an email within the week. If you are new to the course, just come back on November 3 and start the application process.
