The mission of the Texas Master Naturalists is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas.
We are an organization of volunteers working on projects throughout a ten-county area including Bandera, Gillespie, Kerr, San Saba, Edwards, Kendall, Kimble, Mason, Menard, and Real counties. If you live outside of these counties, please go to the state website at https://txmn.tamu.edu/ to determine the chapter that serves your area.

To become a certified Texas Master Naturalist, you must first attend a 12-week training course, then complete 40 volunteer hours and 8 advanced training hours within 1 year of training.
Our next training course will be in Spring 2026. Go to Volunteer Training Schedule if you are interested in the next training course.
Access the Transfer Membership page if you are currently a Texas Master Naturalist and want to transfer to our chapter.
Go to the current Course Schedule to see what a typical course includes.
