DFNC Educational Pond and Native Garden Habitat Workdays

Message from Kathy Pittman:

Hi all – I know a lot of us are gearing up for the Migration Celebration this weekend, however, I received word back from the staff at Delores Fenwick Nature Center that we can come work on TUESDAY April 29th, and SATURDAY May 3rd.   If you have time and can come help for a few hours, especially those of you in the northern part of the county, it would really be appreciated!  We will plan on meeting at 9 and working until 11 or 12.   As always, come when you can and leave when you need to.   I will be scheduling future dates as needed.   This is a joint project with the Master Gardeners.
Needs;
    There is a good bit of weeding and some light trimming to be done.
    If you have waders/high boots and don’t mind getting in the water, there are irises and some other water plants that need to be thinned out.
    I will be bringing some native plants from my home to be planted
Bring:
    water
    gloves and hand tools
    waders/boots
    shovels and rakes
    sunscreen, bug spray, etc (you know the drill)
Address: 5750 Magnolia Parkway, Pearland
if you have questions, please feel free to call me.   THANK YOU!
