VOL – Adopt A Highway Fall Cleanup – CANCELLED

As part of the Texas Adopt a Highway program, the Galveston Bay Area Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist adopted a two mile stretch of FM 3005 on Galveston’s west end approximately 3 years ago. Since then we have removed a tremendous amount of plastic and other trash located mere yards from the Gulf of Mexico.

Our Fall clean up will be on Friday, September 20^th. We’ll meet at the Brasfield home located at 16922 Beachcomber Drive, City of Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island at 7:00 am and begin cleaning at 7:30 a.m.  Supplies and tools will be provided.   We normally clean for 1.5 to 2.0 hours covering as much of the two miles as we can. It helps with the planning process if we have an estimate of the number of volunteers. So, if you are joining us please let me know. Hopefully, the cooler fall weather will arrive by then!
