Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary, Galveston
(The sanctuary is close to the Sea Isle development in far west Galveston)
Houston Audubon is holding a workday at Dos Vacas Muertas Bird Sanctuary on the west end of Galveston Island. The sanctuary contains a pond lined with cane, a small spartina marsh, coastal grassland with cord grass and a woodlot of live oaks. Come be a part of sanctuary maintenance, habitat restoration, and Houston Audubon’s amazing volunteer workforce.
