VOL – Hawk Watch at Smith Point

John and Lynn Wright will be counting at GCBO’s Smith Point Hawk Watch again this year. John will lead the counts on September 18 (Wed), October 1 and 15 (both Tues). Everyone is welcome! Here is a link to the Smith Point HawkCount page: https://www.hawkcount.org/month_summary.php?rsite=563.

It is a bit of a hike to Smith Point but well worth it, especially if you can carpool with a friend. We will be counting from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (but you do not need to be there the whole time). You would need to bring your usual hawk watch gear (binocs, chair, hat, sunscreen, water) plus snacks and a sack lunch. There is a clean porta-potty on site.
