August 19th: Ferry Landing Beach Clean Up
8am – Noon
Bolivar Peninsula
Houston Audubon and SPLASh are hosting a beach cleanup at Ferry Beach, next to the ferry landing on the Bolivar Peninsula. This is a brand-new beach and has never been cleaned before! All volunteers are welcome! There will be a tent and umbrellas for shade and ice water available. We will have gloves and trash bags as well. Those coming across the ferry from Galveston can take it on foot to avoid the line. Parking is also available at the ferry bathrooms on the Bolivar Peninsula. Be sure to bring your sunscreen, hat, and reusable water bottle, and let’s make a difference for the beach and birds!
