August 12^th: North Jetty Clean Up

The North Jetty borders Houston Audubon’s Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary, a site designated as a “Globally Important Bird Area”. Each year tons of trash collects along the North Jetty and we need your help to remove it! Please meet at the North Jetty parking area at the end of 17th Street in Port Bolivar. From the ferry, take Highway 87 approximately 1.5 miles and turn right on 17th St. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get muddy or wet and wear clothing that will protect you from the sun and the mosquitoes (hat, sunglasses, etc.).
