VOL – Quintana Bird Sanctuary

Join us this Saturday (November 16) to help plant about 60-70 native shrubs and plants at the Gulf Coast Bird Observatory (GCBO) Quintana Neotropic Bird Sanctuary! We are re-vegetating the open middle section of the sanctuary to establish a tree canopy and undergrowth for the migrating birds using this important stop-over site. Also, 24 trees will be planted the day before.

Work begins at 8 a.m. and you can stay as long as you like.

Bring gloves and shovels. Bring a sack lunch, drinks and snacks. Wear sturdy closed toed shoes and long pants. Help the birds!
