VOL – Stormwater Wetland Thursday

July 16, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

All, Here is the stormwater wetland volunteer update for this week.

This Thursday: July 16, 9am-12

We will once again be propagating and potting several of the species we have waiting at the nursery: Pickerel weed/Pontederia cordata, Lizard tail/Saururus cernuus, Maiden cane/Panicum hemitomon, and Soft rush/Juncus effusus.

The nursery is near 1801 Neptune Lane, Clear Lake City (Houston) 77062. Park along the street near the bridge (from which you can see the nursery) and take the northeast trail.

Last week:

We propagated and potted almost all of the remained Lizard tail/Saururus cernuus. Thanks to everyone who came out and participated!

Upcoming dates:

Please note: We took an informal vote two weeks ago to go on hiatus for the months of August and September. Mary Carol will be away and Chelsea will be headed to grad school. We need a steward or stewards that will drop in regularly to make sure the ponds are not too low. Please contact me if you can do this. Thanks!
