VOL – Wetland Restoration Team

Wetland restoration and preservation activities at Sheldon Lake SP.  Led by Marissa Sipocz of Texas A&M Extension.

April 15: We will focus on collecting more material this week. We are expecting rain most of this week, and in the mornings no less. However, we are hosting a new group of home-schoolers next Wednesday and they are coming with hopes of planting. 🙂 I believe we can still gather a bunch of Sagittaria from the ditch and possibly some square-stem spikerush from offsite. No matter what, we will need to be mindful of the weather.

Transportation:  We meet every Wednesday at 1250 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, TX to carpool in the Extension van. Our normal meet time is 8:15am sharp. Please let us know if you are coming, as space can be limited.
