VOL – Wetlands Restoration

This week we’re heading down to Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge to collect more plants on Wednesday September 4th.

There will be a vanpool from the office departing at 7:30am with expected arrival of 9:00am. We will plan to be back to the office around 1:00pm.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend or ride in vanpool as there is limited space.

We will meet again at the East Unit Entrance roughly around 9:00am. See directions below.

Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge is our current project site. We meet at the gate of the East Unit Entrance (or Hunt Access if you’re familiar) south of FM 1985/Whites Ranch Rd.

Directions from I-10 heading east: Exit onto TX-61 South toward Hankamer/Anahuac. After 3.8 mi, continue straight onto FM 562 S. Continue for 8.2 mi and turn left onto FM 1985. Continue for 10.8 mi to East Unit Entrance sign on right.

Directions from I-10 heading west: Exit onto 124 S. Continue for 16 mi to FM 1985 and turn right. Continue 4 mi to East Unit Entrance sign on left.
