Special Event: Hill Country Chapter Summer Social

Your Invitation

You are invited to the Hill Country Chapter Summer Social on July 16, at the Old Tunnel State Park

Social time will be at Alamo Springs Restaurant beginning at 6:00p
Food, beer, wine and soft drinks are available at your own expense

A 2-hour Advanced Training will follow at the Old Tunnel State Park beginning at 7:00p. Viewing cost is waived for this event.

A few notes:

  • Alamo Springs Restaurant serves food, beer, wine and soft drinks. You are free to enjoy these during the social time at the restaurant but may you may not take them into the Park for the AT
  • Visit: Social time at the Restuarant starts at 6:00p
  • Learn: AT at the Old Tunnel State Park will start around 7:00p. The entire lower viewing deck is reserved for our Chapter members and their families. Please try to remember to bring your name tag. Viewing cost is waived for this event.
  • Hike: There is a short (3/4 mile) hiking trail but it closes at 5:00p. If you want to walk the trail you would have to go early and it would be self-guided. (Birders – Izzy Mabry, Park Superintendent, recorded over 40 bird species there for the Great Texas Birding Classic.)
