How to Join

Contact us via our chapter email address or Cameron AgriLife Office phone number listed below, or via any current member you may know.

Applications are usually taken when a class is scheduled, but can be done anytime.

You will then be contacted to complete some basic information via our online Volunteer Management System, which will trigger a background check by TPWD, and pay a $150 application fee to our Chapter.  This fee will also cover the a hard copy book of training materials.

You should review the TPWD Volunteer Manual for some basic information about TPWD volunteering, and information specific to expectations and Chapter procedures regarding becoming a Texas Master Naturalist can be found in our website Library ByLaws etc. page .

Membership is based on completion of 40 hours of training consisting of classes and field trips covering many elements of nature and wildlife, followed by a Certification process which entails 8 hours of Advanced Training and 40 hours of volunteer work over the next year.

Our next class is planned to begin in January 2018. For class agenda details and dates (new class if ready, and from past years), see the page Training / Class Curriculum.

We look forward to having you become a part of an adventure that we have all enjoyed, and has so enriched our lives.
