Training, Adv. Trng, and Hours

Training opportunities are everywhere.

It all starts with New Member Classes which consist of a minimum of 40 hours of classroom and field trips covering a broad range of nature topics.  See How to Join in order to sign up.

Then there are numerous Advanced Training sessions offered throughout the year – some are classroom and most include hands on involvement, and some are field trips.  These approved training sessions will count towards your annual 8 hour requirement for re-certifications.

Our website is full of information and references for individual learning in just about any aspect of nature you can think about.  Just scan down the list of pages along the right side.

And of course, some of the best education is that you get on your own, or with others, exploring nature wherever you find it even if such education does not count towards Advanced Training hours.
