If you have a BUDM and wetlands poster you would like to display on a program or project, please contact Matt Hoch directly ([email protected]); we can print it and hang in advance.If you are newly invited to this event:This regional symposium aims to raise awareness and engage stakeholders of coastal restoration needs in Jefferson County and Orange Counties, Texas, for community and environmental resiliency. We are inviting diverse stakeholders of the Golden-Triangle region including local governments, state and federal agencies, regional environmental NGOs, port and navigation districts, and industry partners who share a goal of resilient coasts through use of nature-based solutions involving the BUDM.The day’s program includes plenary talks on environmental credit financing of coastal restoration projects and the Texas BUDM Master Plan (TEXBUMP). Both research talks and the poster session will cover diverse aspects of BUDM for coastal resiliency in science and technology, economics, and education. Our panel discussion addresses some of the top tiered BUDM coastal restoration projects on the Texas upper coast and provides an opportunity for stakeholder engagement as the State moves forward to develop the next Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan. Coastal restoration needs and benefits will also be communicated through media and the Plaine Air painting exhibition.
