Get ready to meet the mighty microbes of wastewater! During this talk Caitlin Pienaar will share how wastewater treatment plants work, the biology behind how they clean the water, and share how a wastewater treatment plant is just a really big human engineered wetland. She will also be going over how we ensure the water produced is safe for reuse or to go back to our Texas waterways.

Caitlin Pienaar is a Waste Water Professional who has worked in varying cities and facilities since 2018. She currently lives in Glen Rose, Texas and works for the city of Granbury. She is a part-time instructor through Texas A&M TEEX where she teaches operators from around the state.
